It is knowing whether reaching out would be welcome. These are the lines Boop will not cross, in plain language.
You can Boop someone anonymously. They are told that someone is thinking about them, never who. If they Boop you too, both of you find out at the same second and a private chat opens. If they do not, nothing is revealed. No rejection screen, no hidden list of admirers, no guessing games.
Boop is not for finding strangers. No swiping, no discovery feed, no browsing people nearby, no people-you-may-know. You bring the person to Boop because they already exist somewhere in your life.
Your phone number is for matching, not browsing. You add people you already know by number, so Boop needs yours too. We do not store your raw phone number in app tables. It is converted into a one-way hash used for matching. Nobody can look you up on Boop by typing your number.
You get three Boops each day. Not because we want to sell you more, but because the question is supposed to mean something: who is really on your mind? A Boop lasts 24 hours. If they are still on your mind tomorrow, you can choose them again.
Boop will never charge you to find out who Booped you. We will not sell clues or priority access to another person. Privacy, blocking, reporting, mutual reveal and basic conversation will not become premium. Paid features can make Boop more personal or expressive. They will never buy access to another person's feelings. The connection itself stays free. Trust is not a premium feature.
No streaks telling you to chase someone. No public rejection, no popularity scores, no follower counts, no read receipts, no typing indicators, no online status. Boop should help you act on a feeling, not manufacture one.
Is Boop a dating app? No. Boop is a private mutual-intent app for people you already know. There is no swiping, no discovery feed and no stranger browsing.
Is Boop anonymous? A Boop is anonymous until it is mutual. The person you Boop is told that someone is thinking about them, not who.
Can someone see that I Booped them? They see that someone did, never that it was you. Your name appears only if they add you and Boop you back.

Boop is live as an early MVP. It is free to use, Sweden-first, 18+, and built as a web app you can install on iPhone (Add to Home Screen via Safari) and Android (Chrome install prompt). The core Boop loop stays free: send an anonymous Boop, reveal only if it is mutual, and chat when it becomes mutual. No public search. No people-you-may-know feed. No stranger browsing. You choose who to add to your private list.
